On December 10, 2024, 2C2T – Centre for Textile Science and Technology had the honor of hosting a delegation from Hungary, composed of representatives from prestigious institutions, such as the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and the University of Miskolc.

The main objective of the visit was to promote collaboration and strengthen partnerships in research, innovation, and technology transfer between the University of Minho and Hungarian institutions.

During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to tour the 2C2T facilities, including the textile microbiology, textile physics, advanced analysis laboratories, and areas dedicated to natural fibers, weaving, and fiber treatment. The primary focus was to explore potential collaborations in textile engineering and the development of innovative solutions for industrial and social challenges.

This meeting marked a significant step in strengthening international relations and creating an environment conducive to scientific collaboration and technological development. We are excited about the future collaborations and the positive impact they will bring to innovation and scientific research.

We thank the Hungarian delegation for their visit and the valuable exchange of knowledge. We look forward to future partnerships with Hungarian institutions.
